hi guys, well i finally changed the front and rear suspension of my 1997 nissan pathy v6 3.3L 4x4. my son and his friend who's a garage mechanic did the work. initially the work would've been over $2100 according to the place i went to. mind you this not a dealer. i didnt have that kind of money. so what i did was i bought all the parts on line and cost me about $900. the problem that i noticed after driving it today was in the rear. let me explain:
they changed both upper and lower control arms. stablizer bar and stabilizer bar connecting rods. the shop that i went to get an estimate from suggested that i should change the track bar or panhard rod. but when i called everything nissan, the guy suggested that i didnt need to change the track bar unless the vehicle had been rear ended. that saved me about $150. anyways, i drove the truck today and im hearing this loud cracking sound everytime i stop and go. i mean its really loud. but when i asked my son's friend he told me that that was normal because the parts where new and that they have to be broken in. the thing that i noticed was that one of the upper control arms had a white paint across that could indicate it should be put on either left or right. now im not sure if this had anything to do with the noise. can you guys plsssssssssssssss. help me out. i get really nervous riding this truck with all that snappin and cracklin.
