Exclamation How does this work?

I noticed a buch of posts /threads have been duplicated and posted again, Do you guys spam over questions for some constructive reason?

Just wondering if I should be looking elsewhere for actual technical assistance.
Thanks,
Bill F.

I've replied to some questions that have been asked a few or several times. Some people don't bother to use the search engine on this site to find the answer. If you ask, you'll get some help... most of the time, depending on the knowledge of the people on this forum.

Like NPATH said there are people that aren't aware or don't bother to use the "search" feature. They get upset when they post and get no reply on a subject already existing.

btw... are you needing assistance on an issue or are you just posting a criticism ??

Transmission change problem, posted the day before yesterday, I did not locate any info in existing threads that detailed the info I was looking for, I was just wondering if this was actually a chat forum rather than a technical forum, I am interested in completing these repairs, not engaging in a debate or discussion on how you customarilly use your web site, and looking over the threads it seems that a substantial number are given to matters of less than significant technical matters.

FYI; BF

Transmission change - - big project - have fun.

When I first joined this forum, I also noticed that the content was slightly less "technical" or hands-on than I may have liked. I am a "weekend wrench" and I like to maintain my older vehicles myself, and avoid professional mechanics and dealers as much as possible. This is both to save money and the fact that I enjoy fixing things. Forums like this are a great opportunity to share experiences and learn how to do things yourself.

Like I said, when I first joined, the content was not quite what I was hoping for. I noticed alot of posts asking for opinions of what a dealer or mechanic was diagnosing as a problem, or possible costs, etc. rather than actual hands-on repair information. While this information is helpful in its own way to people looking for it, it was not the type of info I would have preferred.

However, as time has progressed, I've noticed an increase in the "technical" type of discussions around the site - - exciting to me!!! And certainly, the more members we get, the better to content of the forums - - for all of us.

So, don't give up on us. Keep comin' around and asking questions and offering your insights as well. Together, we all make these sites work...

Just my $0.02

Get a service manual and go from there. It has all the info you will ever need to work on your Nissan in it already. Then you can close this webpage, not come back and we can all be a little bit happier for the time being.

By the way, I responded to his OP and gave him the answer anyway. I simply missed the post cause I've been busy for the past week or so and haven't had time to go through posts and answer a bunch of stuff.
