Grinding Noise from Front right

I have a 97 pathfinder le and i took it off roading for the first time last night and got it stuck really good. and after i got it out, the front right of the car is making a really bad grinding noise, i looked underneath and the boot for the front axle on the wheel side was broken. Is that the problem? how do i fix?

Yup, you have gotten dirt in the joint. Between the dirt and probably loss of grease, you'll need to clean out all the bad stuff, replace the boot and pack with plenty of grease. Hopefully it will be ok, since it was only one day.

Thanks Boogy, guess you've done this before, i told my mechanic about it, he said thats probably what happened too and it sounded like an easy fix.

Problem Solved?

I got the results back, my front axle had been stripped clean off and was griding against the threaded side making that noise. I really wasn't offroading that hard, do you think this is a factory flaw or the person who had it before me didn't take very good car of the car?

this is noise from axles. i replaced my front arms with oem ones, i got rid of all plays on road and noises, also turn radius decreased, But it means there is more load when steering wheel when it is all the way left or right(because of different size on arms - just a little difference), it started to make grinding noise. i need to live with it. i cant pay to originals now. they cost me twice.
