Hi All, Without warning the other day the blower fan on my the heater quit operating. The system is creating heat because I can feel it coming through at highway speeds, however it appears the fan isn't operating fully(I do hear it running at a low level). Nissan hooked it up to the computer and said they can't detect a problem so they will need to take everything apart until they discover the problem. Taking a few hours out of a Mechanics day can be expensive.
Has anyone else had this problem and where should we look first. Thanks for any and all help.

You can do some basic diagonsis yourself with a multimeter. Turn the blower on, check the terminals for voltage. Got juice? = bad motor No juice?= crappy afternoon of locating a new HVAC panel. (I dont believe this is resistor controlled fan speed controller) If it is, you can replace the bad resistor. But if its totally dead its probibly not one. Also, stupid question, you did check all fuses right? Also is this a digital HVAC control or manuel?

Hi Tcrote, It is a digital HVAC control and unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough for it to have been a fuse. As for the multimeter that might be dangerous me messing with juice. I guess I should have paid more attention when Dad showed me these things. Thanks for the response. Tank
