Anybody has an experience how to force the built-in DVD player to run regular DVD movie disc? It refuses to play anything else than original DVD disc with GPS maps.
Maybe there are other video/audio inputs to built-in 7inch LCD screen but I could not find any so far. Anybody have experience with this?
That´s the point, this is not a "stock dvd player", this device installed under front passanger seat has two relatively big connectors on the back side - of course - incopatible with anything similar common on regular dvd players. Therefore I have no idea how to get other AV source to the dashboard LCD (in case that it would not be possible to run regular dvd discs on it).

It was installed by NISSAN in the factory, DVD GPS navigation is a part of "IT pack" offered as an option by NISSAN dealers in Europe. The vehicle is brand new, I just receve it after 2 months since ordering. No changes whatsoever were made.
dvdswanson: Maybe I did not make myself clear enough.
The fact that the original NISSAN DVD GPS refuses to play regular dvds is NOT A FAILURE subject to warranty, it suppose to be like that and from NISSAN´s point of view it´s OK.
Problem is that I am trying to find a way how to make it work, that´s all.
