1993 Pathfinder 4x4 problem!

I just bought my Pathfinder, took it offroading shifted into 4H, went through some deep sand and got stuck. Only the back tires were spinning! Tried 4L and that didnt work either. The green 4wd light turns on, but no 4wd. Can anybody tell me what may be wrong?

I would really appreciate it!

you have auto locking hubs? manual hubs? maybe broken driveshaft? maybe tranfsfer case doesnt work? someone else will have more experienced answers or ideas.

Yeah, auto hubs.

maybe your auto hubs arent engaging right.... not sure how to check on this... someone else should know better.

Auto hubs are stuck or broken. You can take them off pretty easily and grease them up yourself if you're so inclined and have a pair of snap-ring pliers.
