I am pretty happy with the Bose system on my '06 LE (plenty of bass) but it gets garbled at higher volumes - I don't listen very loud but every once in a while I will crank it up. So to fix that I was looking at replacing all four door speakers. From looking on Crutchfield and Sounddomain I decided that I want the Kenwood KFC-1660s's for the rear doors. Both sites say they fit without a problem, I like the stats, and they are only $50. The problem is the front speakers. From looking at Sounddomain I liked the Pioneer TS-A6961R's which they say fit with no modifications in the front doors. However when I go to Crutchfield they say that the speakers don't fit in the front at all. Anyone know the true answer??? Anyone know a better speaker for the front doors that isn't over $65???

I thought the front speakers were 5x7 not 6x9's.

for the 05+ Pathfinders, 6x9's are in the front. The rear passenger doors are 6.5" round. The 5x7's fit the first generation Pathfinders, I believe.

Go to Triffids website below, he's got some Alpine speaker packaging you can look at and note the model numbers. Don't know the cost but you can look that up on the web.
