im having the same problem as the guy in the above link. Does anyone know how to get the TOP starter bolt off an early 90's pathfinder? every possible way to get to it is blocked.

If you haven't, loosen the 6 lug nuts and jack up the SUV and remove the tire. From there, I'd imagine you can get at the nut from there.
