Broken LSV bracket

Hi I am new member. Isnt it funny how a problem will send you running to the closest user group forum for help?? I just happened to notice a moderately sized piece of metal hanging from the rear axle of my 01 Pathfinder. Upon closer inspection it has a spring attached that was attached to another unkown part of the car. My research points to the load sensing valve LSV. The metal is kinda rusty so I think its been broken for a while. Is this something I need to have fixed right away or ????? I really havent noticed any driving difficulties.
TIA

if it is the load sensing valve bracket... mine was broken also, but from being rearended from some idiot... since i couldnt get just the bracket, unless you find a junk yard. i just took it to a local shop and had them weld it up for 10$. then ground it smooth as possible, painted it, and installed it following my manual. "i think" it is supposed to regulate how much pressure the rear brakes get according to how much weight is in the truck. i think it should be fixed if you carry and unload alot of stuff, or tow.. but thats my opinion.

Thanks for the advice. I was wondering if it would be safe to try to weld that thing back on there and if it would stay. Ill give it a try
