99 Pathfinder Fuel Economy

I'm only getting 450 kms for a full tank on city driving. 500 kms highway.

Is this correct? Or my truck messed up?

Thanks

It would help us if you told how much fuel your putting in the tank. You never said if your vehicle was standard or automatic.

it is an automatic tranny. i'm not sure about the size of the tank. i'm guessing 60 litres or so judging by the cost of a full tank.

You're getting more than me, I'm only getting 426km on 57 liters. Just filled up yesterday.

that's right, tank is 80 liters, you should be getting 530km in the city and about 730km on the highway. But since you do not drive till your tank is empty, i figure there is always about 10 liters before you refill, therefore you should be getting about 460km city/640km highway, that all depends also on your driving habits. These values are at best conditions.
hope this helps

On my first fuel tank I averaged 20.4 mpg on mixed driving. I went out of town last weekend at drove about 500 miles or so. I had the pack loaded up with 300 lbs of crap give or take and was going around 80 mph the whole time on the highway. I did some city driving as well and averaged 18 something.

My truck is a 5 speed btw.

mmm if it is 5 speed manual it is normal to get better fuel efficiency. because of torque converter autoshifter cars loose power on higher rpms. new cars have locking converters to prevent this losses.
