Need help programming FOB on 99 Pathfinder

I just purchased a second 99 Pathfinder LE but it did not have a fob. I took one from my other 99 1/2 Pathfinder and attempted to program according to previous posted instructions, but it won't program. After inserting and removing the key 7 times within 10 seconds, the flashers blink twice. Then I place in ACC and press lock, but nothing happens.

Do I have to have the dealer program the fob?

No, but these fobs are pretty specific - and from what I remember looking through the catalogue to buy mine, the 99 and 99 1/2 are different fobs - check that first.

I had the same problem you are having when I tried to use an Altima fob for my Pathfinder. Then I got the correct fob, and it worked perfect.
