I have a new to me '03 LE, which I am using to tow a pop-up trailer. It cam with the factory receiver hitch and the 4-pin wiring. I went to U-Haul to wire a 7-pin round plug, which this particular installer had done for me before on other vehicles. He has done a lot of them over the years. Anyway, he was not able to find the cold side of the brake switch to attach the brake controller so it works as you use the brakes. It's a prodigy brake controller, and it works manually by pulling the lever, but obviously it would be better working with the brake pedal.

Apparently the two wires he probed off the brake switch did not show power when the brake pedal was pressed, and there was another bundle of wires nearby he didn't want to probe for fear of setting off airbags or whatever. He said he had never run into this on any vehicle before, and some of his colleagues he checked with had not done a Pathfinder of this vintage.

I only had time to talk to the dealer briefly before I left on a trip, but they were not able to give me any useful info.

Has anybody done this that could shed some light on which is the right wire to tap into, or where else to go for assistance?
