I'm running out of time to make a bid on this pathfinder.

'95 XE 4WD, 93000 miles the initial bid was 4000 dollars. I took it to a mechanic, they said it needed "at least 2000 dollars worth of repairs",
including
full break replacement
distributer cap
exhaust system: either just the endpiece or the whole system; it's "rotting."
CV boots (cracked)
Timing Belt

I posted about this on another forum and they told me my mechanic (who is held in vey high esteem by some of my friends who know their shit) is full of shit.

I did get the lady down to 3000 dollars, but she's not moving from this point.
This mechanic, as well as an independant Nissan-only mechanic to whom I listed these problems both said "the car is not worth 3000 dollars," to whom all my friends and family and strangers who i've told the story all disagree. Again, only 93000 miles on the car, the engine itself seems fine.

What to do???
I'm running out of time. This woman wants to close my deal. Please give me some information.
