Question Alarm set off by outside heat?

'97 Pathfinder

I moved from a moderate climate to a very hot climate, near Tucson, a few weeks ago. But temperatures recently have been very hot.

Yesterday morning, and again this morning (at about the same time--after the sun had been up for a couple of hours), my car alarm went off for no apparent reason.

The car is parked and not running, and no one is around to bump the car. Also, the alarm does not go off at other times of day--even when the outside temperature is higher.

Is it possible that the morning heat is setting off the car alarm? Has anyone heard of such a thing? Or could this simply be part of a larger problem with the electrical system?

Thanks.

Stock alarm? I'm thinking not (shock sensor).

As you said 8am is not the hottest time of the day.

Could be someone bumping the car and running away and seeing if anyone reacts. (sometimes done prior to theft).

How old is your battery? If it is original, replace it.

The alarm is stock, battery replaced less than a year ago.
No neighbors close by, car is parked in a carport surrounded by 4 acres of desert.

Original alarms only have voltage drop sensor (dome light coming on) or door switch. I think it is external. Watch your truck around (before) it happens.
