Leaking A/C Condenser: Repairable or just replace?

I've got a 96 Pathfinder that my mechanic just diagnosed with a leaking A/C condenser. He quoted me a price of a little over $600 to replace it. Does that sound reasonable? How many hours does a job like that take? An aftermarket condenser runs between $160 -$200 online so I'm having problems with that $600 figure. If a genuine Nissan condenser goes for around $300 and the labor takes about 4 hours @ $75/hr, maybe I can accept it. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

You may be able to fix it depending on where the leak is, and how bad it is. Also, I took the liberty of doing a quick search on Ebay.

Here ya go:

I've seen a friend of mine fix an A/C condenser off of his Blazer, using that Alum-Alloy stuff I see on TV. Seemed to work pretty good. Patched a hole about the size of a nickel. Didn't fill in the hole, just sealed it.
