94 Pathfinder A/C Type

Can anyone out there tell me what type of A/C System is on the 94 Pathfinder?
Is it the old style R-12 system or the new R-134 system?

A friend of mine has a 94 Pathfinder and a white mist came out of his A/C vents
while he was riding down the road the other day. The A/C is not blowing as cold
as it should. Has anyone had this problem before? Does this indicate an
evaporator leak?

Any info would be appreciated.

Pretty sure it's the newer system. I do believe you'll find what kind of freon it uses on the underside of the hood. If not, along the firewall on the driver's side.
