CD skipping. Bose 2002 Pathy

Has anyone had a good experience with sending CD changer off for repair? Also, how would I get it out? Have had the glove box out and it seemed like I might start there, but maybe not. CD skips when cold. Seems to be OK when car is hot inside like after being parked a while. thank you.

From looking at a pic of your model year from another site, it seems like, I may be wrong, you need a wide flat head screw driver and pry the cover off. From there, I think you can get at the stereo easier.

I don't think the glove box is the way to get the head unit out... not on my 95 Pathfinder anyways.

Have the same problem with the Bose in my 02 Path. Can a reputable repair shop can fix it?
