A while ago, some of the Frontier guys had a belt/pulley/tensioner squeal. I have now developed it on my Pathy. Goes into the dealer on the 13th for belt/tensioner replacement. Just wondering if any other 05/06 Pathy owners have had this issue or if I am just a lucky guy.

I do have a squeal on my '05 SE but I haven't done anything about it yet - it's not all the time. Seems to happen more when it's wet outside - does that make sense?

Thank you though, next time it goes in I will tell them what we think the problem is

That is the way mine started. It does it almost all the time now and it is so loud I can hear it inside the car with the windows up and the radio on. You might just be able to drop by the dealer when it is doing it and have them look at it then and maybe get it fixed before it gets too bad.

problem is I'm nowhere NEAR the dealer so I'll have to leave it there next time they change my oil.

Try some belt dressing, maybe that'll get rid of the squeal, since you're far away from a dealer. I've used Permatex soon after my new belts started squealing and it's been gone ever since.

Had the same problem at 3k miles on my 06, usually when it was wet outside or when it was idling for a while. Dealer replaced belt at no charge, squeal hasn't come back yet at 6k miles
