1998 Pathfinder 5 Speed 4X4 Clutch noise

I have a 1998 Pathfinder 5 speed 4X4 that makes a vibrating (low pitch buzzing not grinding) noise when I push the clutch and shift gears. It stops when the transmissin ingages and when in nutral.

Any help?

Throw out (TO) bearing. Some say replace it asap, mine's been noisy, off and on, for over 5 years (waiting for me to get around to replacing it).

You aren't driving in 4WD on pavement are you? If so, the noise you hear may be your tires wearing.

No, I checked that. It does not happen when driving, only when depressing the clutch and shifting.

Thanks!
