How do I get the plastic trim off aorund the shifter

I was wondering how I can get the trim off. I dont want to break anything which is why I am asking first. I am working on hardwiring my sirius replay unit and I want to hide my wires on the way to the fuse panal. Thanks in advance

whipped this up, it should help, for a 2000 but should be a similar-ish idea. remove the screws you see and pull the rest
