Has anyone added the front tow hook to an 05 or 06 le? It bugs me that they removed it from the le. It looks like it should just bolt on without any modification to the frame and/or bumper.
I have a Frontier LE KC with a right side tow hook. Now can someone come up with a tow hook for the left side?
Some of the Frontier owners have taken a second right side tow hook and mounted it on the left side.
To do that you will have to notch the panel under the front bumper as the offset of the right tow hook will interfere with that panel. The hook will also be a few inches off of
being exactly in line with the right hook because of the off- set.
I wish that one of the vendors would come up with a matching aftermarket hook for us.
Nissan made a tow hook for both sides of the Titan why not for the Pathfinder and the frontier. I checked the Titan hooks out and they will not mount on the Pathfinder and
Frontier because they have an 1 1/4" step down at the front of the hook. I guess you could get a block to fill the gap but that would not look right to me.
Good idea, freddie. Too bad I didn't think of that a month ago! The hook should be here tomorrow, so I'll find out what is involved in installing it soon. The hook wasn't too bad (less than $40), but the bolts were $3+ each!
I got bought an Xterra and I was surprised to only see one tow hook in the front. I'm about to install a grille guard in the front so I want to install a hook on the left before I bolt the guard on. Where did you get your Frontier hook? Will it fit an Xterra? I've been looking around and haven't had to much success finding it.
