2006 MPG observance

I always keep a record of my cars, in terms of anything I do to/with the car. As you can see I record all of the stats at each fill up, you will notice that with similar driving, of course cant be the exact same, my MPG is slowly going up as my engine is breaking in. This is nice to know as the MPG currently blows...

My carputer is currently showing 15.7 mpg after 140 miles on my current tank, however for the records I use actual MPG (actual miles and actual gallons burned).

If anyone wants the excel file to use for yourself, just ask. Its nice to show someone when selling a car, your exact records of oil changes and service and whatnot... plus its interesting over time ; )

Wow...nice spreadsheet. I track mine in a notebook...not quite as fancy as you. Actual mileage/gallon has been about 18MPG-21MPG on 2-lane highways...and about 14-16MPG in town for me.

I do the spreadsheet bit too, every time I fill up, for the same reasons.

My wife tells me I'm a nerd.

The next time you fill up, reset your MPG so it can give you the average for a tank full of gas. I reset mine everytime I fill up. I average 16mpg all around (city+highway) at this time of the year. The cold weather seems to be affecting the mpg because when I bought my Pathy in September I was averaging 17.5 mpg.
