Smile 98 Pathfinder coolant leak from throttlebdy fixed

I tool the throttle body off and took the fast idle plunger out and took the old o-ring off and replaced it with one out of a o-ring kit (size 14), coated it with a little vaseoline and reinstalled it. Had to make my own throttlebody base gasket. Dealership or any of the parts stores had one. cleaned the complete unit and place back on the intake. No leaks and run's pretty good. Gas pedal no longer sticks. Didn't have spend the $500 dollars that the dealership wanted to fix my problem.

Why would you have a coolant leak in your throttle body to begin with?

The fast idle plunger housing is part of the throttle body. The plunger is thermostatically controlled by the coolant temperature. Cold coolant makes the idle faster and the warmer it gets the lower the RPM's. This is on the 1998 PF SE 4X4 , with the 3.3 litre engine.
