2005 pathfinder making a slight squeal when idling

It seems that I have all these problems, but I am taking it to Nissan for all of this. When idling, it sounds like the idler pully is squealing, but its not coming from it. It is somewhere else in the motor. They have too much plastic on the top and it is a pain to see down in the motor. Does anyone else have this slight whistling noise? It sort of irritates me all these things are happening to my pathfinder. It runs great, its just all these little petty things. Has anyone gotten any recall information in the mail about the VDC. I have gotten nothing even though I see there is a recall for the VDC and the trailer wiring system.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. BRANG IT TO THE DEALER AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE POWER STEERING PUMP ON MY 2005 PATHFINDER XE. COVERED BY EXTENDED WARRENTY

generally speaking, a squealing or whistling sound can also be a water pump on its way out. being a 2005, id be very surprised if that were the case..

As for recalls, just bring it to the dealer and tell them to do the vdc and trailer harness recalls. If you can get to the belt parts, try taking off the belt and moving each of the pulleys. If any are hard to move, that is probably the culprit.

Have them replace the Primary Interface Glue or P.I.G. for short.
When you pinch the P.I.G. it will squeal until replaced.
Its quite common for a PIG to squeal under pressure.
Not all squealing pigs are nessesarly bad pigs.
I hope this helps!
