Hello;

I am a newbie but I have been a member of other forums and consider them a wealth of information. Looking forward to exchanging ideas with you guys.

I have a 2000' Pathfinder LE 2WD that I picked up with 77K miles. An issue that I first ran into when I bought the truck was sometimes I would press the remote for the door locks and nothing would happen, other times it would work. I had the battery in the remote checked and the battery was fine. After this continued to happen I ordered and received two new remotes and programmed them with the truck. They worked fine for about a month or so when the same problem happened. The problem being when I first get out of the truck the doors would not lock with the remote. After about 5 minutes it would work with the remote. This coupled with a dash board problem that I have (sometimes my odometer, tachometer and temp gauge goes "dead" then it comes back) leads me to believe that there is some kind of wiring "short" in the truck.

Any ideas or thoughts on this would certainly be appreciated. This has been a real "mystery" for me.
