transfer case dilemma

hi guys, just wanted to thank everyone who responded with my previous thread. when my son was underneath the suv, he noticed that the transfer case was leaking. it's not leaking bad to where there's puddles of fluid underneath the suv. the outer part is kind of wet according to him. he said that he wasnt sure if should tightened the bolts all around it because it might worsen the leak by stripping the thread. he tested the suv by driving about 45 minutes and he checked underneath and he said theres like almost like a teardrop that formed on the outside of the transfer that was getting ready to fall. he doesnt know how many drops of fluid fell while driving for 45 minutes but im just trying to give you guys as much info as i can.i was wondering if you guys had any other ideas besides trying to tightening the bolts or should he do that first? thanks in advance guys.

Yes, I would expect that your Haynes manual should say. Barring that, post the year and other particulars of your vehicle and maybe someone will have the specs...

You can download a FSM from http://www.phatg20.net/ , there is FSM from the year -94 to -05 Pathfinder there, and thy got FSM for other Nissans models and other brands to.
there is some other programs, like Nissan fast, but ill dont now what kind of prog that is.
