Exhaust Kit

Sup Guys,

Alright, I am looking to put new exhaust on my 93. I am posting this to see what you guys are running. Cat-backs, headers-back, or just single mufflers themselves. I need some info before I buy something that sounds like a angry weed wacker.

Thanks Guys

Do you have the I4 or the V6 engine? My old 93 had a V6. I had a single flowmaster 40 series muffler on my 93 with the stock piping, cat and header. Originally i just had the tail pipe dump off right after the muffer. It sound great for a 3.0 liter V6. I failed inspection with the dump though so i eventually had to put a tailpipe on it, it still sounded good though.

To be honest with you ive never heard a gibson in person. Your right the fuel tank is going to complicate running pipe. The way the rear suspension is seemed to make it hard on the shop when they were adding my tailpipe. What kind of tail pipe were you wanting to run? The whole kits are too pricey in my opinion, id just buy a muffler and have a local shop do your pipes. Its usually cheeper to do it that way, and when you think about it, the only thing that matters about pipe is the size. Other than that pipe is pipe. Were you wanting to run bigger pipe? According to a spec sheet at my local exhaust shop, the stock pipe diameter is an 1'' and 3 quaters. I didnt have that upgraded and with a flowmaster 40 dumped it still sounded good. If you had it upgraded to like 2'' or 2'' & a quater, it would sound nice IMHO. Anywho i hope im helping and not just making shopping even harder, lol. If you've got anymore questions PM me. goodluck man. Let me kno what you decide on.
