New 2005 Pathfinder owner..good deal??

Hey all,
Just got back from buying a pre owned White 2005 SE fully loaded 4x4. I literally spent hundreds of hours researching and negotiating nationwide to find the best deal after falling in love with this truck when I rented it to fetch daughter from college for Christmas break.
Anyway, out the door (minus tax and title) was 22,300 $, a full tank of gas, and
28k on the odometer. It's in pristine condition and I love it, but it's the most I've ever spent on a truck in my life. Did I do good?
And also, what kind of oil do you all prefer as I am anal about chaning it every 3000 miles and would even consider synthetic.
Any "you must have" accessories that everyone likes?
#Superglyde, hoisting a beer, but moaning as he sees the gas going up rapidly in cost again.

Hope you know that your vehicle was probably a rental truck and that is why it has so many miles for a one year (1 and a half year) old vehicle. I too was about to buy a used one with that many miles but decided not to because rental cars constantly run (many at high speeds), and people dont generally care about them because they are not their own cars. In any event, I bought a 2005 path. 4X2 with the the SE comfort and premeum package for $25,200 before TT&T.

P.S. don't waste too much time worrying about how much you payed (do that before you buy). You will always find someone who paid less and that will make you think you should have paid less. The important thing is that you weren't taken to the cleaners by the dealer and that you love your truck.

you may want to consider going for the Nissan Extended Warranty
as well. I wouldn't give it a second thought if your truck was built
in Japan, but those made in TN....

Kind of depends what "Fully Loaded" means...but I paid $32,400 for my 2005 LE just 3 months ago. That was $1,000 UNDER dealer invoice.

I think you got a good deal if the vehicle is clean and appears to be in good shape. Even if it was a rental, I doubt any damage was done to the engine even if they raced it around a little. The computer pretty much keeps you from hurting anything by limiting the RPM's, etc.

If it's in mechanically good shape...I think you got a really good deal.

I love my Pathy...just hate the door rattles. I have one in every door..and another one behind my radio. I need to take it in to get them fixed. Everything else is AWESOME.

As far as OPTIONS....I highly reccomend:

Catch-All carpeted floor mats

or--if you're going to be tracking a bunch of mud and gunk in

Husky floor liners

My LE comes with pretty much every option I'd ever want..except Sat radio...which I plan to add...don't really think you need any other mods other than maybe replace that Clarion radio that comes in the SE.

;-)
