iPod options for 06 Path

Hello all-

Great site you have here - this is my first post. I have searched the site for iPod integration options for 05/06 Pathfinders but all options discussed apply to different configurations than what I have. Some need pre-wired satelitte, some need the dvd entertainment for the aux input, some need the rear changer and not the in-dash, etc.. So let me tell you my set up and maybe someone out there has some experience or insight for me.

06 Path LE, navigation, in-dash 6 disc, no sat. no entertainment

So.. what's the good news?? (or bad news?)

Thanks,
Trenton

From what I can tell, you can't 'plug in' your ipod with those itmes listed. I would probably recommend getting the FM transmitter that they have for ipods. Using your extra power ports (pass. side lower dash) you can plug it in there, and then plug your ipod..and tune to the preset station. Your system will play the broadcast off of the ipod/fm transmitter.

Best of luck

Yeah, I know about FM transmitters. I used one (and a tape adapter) in my old car. They pretty much suck. I was hoping for some hard-wired options. (not a hard-wired FM transmitter.)

PAC is working on an adaptor like they have for the 05, but it is not ready yet. It uses the sat. input. You will only be able to use it if you do not have the oem sat. radio connected. I am trying to find out how to hack into the rear audio dvd input, but I am not having much luck. I am going to have to get the service manual and check out the wiring schematic.

Does the 06 still have to be pre-wired from the factory for sat in order to use this new adaptor? Because mine is not.

as far as I know it will still use the sat input. I thought all of the o6 pf were prewired for sat, but I could be wrong. Does anyone have the service manual with the wiring diagram so that I can see if we can use the rear a/v input?
