05 Pathy windshield fluid and power window problems.

Just wanted to see if anybody else here was having the same problems. I noticed my windshield fluid resevoir was empty, so I filled it up today. I went to test it and nothing came out, so like any other male I kept on trying it to see if it would work. I get out and noticed the fluid is spilling below/around the passengers side front wheel well! When I looked in the hood I can't see the resevoir tank, it goes into the frame of the Pathy. I assume there is a hole or something, eh?

Also, my drivers side window controls don't work on the rear windows. Well, they will roll the window down, but I have to hold the button up for more than 15 secs for the windows to rise.

Of course I'll be taking the Pathy into the dealer, just wanted to see if anybody else has the same issues?

I have the same problem with the power windows. Well i havent tried holding the button up more than 15 secs to bring up the rear windows. Have you talked to a Nissan dealer yet? Is this something covered in the warranty?

i have the same problem with the left rear window. It goes down, but when i try to bring it up, the switch on the drivers door stopped working, it'll work if i hold it down for like 30+ seconds....time to visit the dealer.

does the rear window work with the rear window switch? if not look to the motor/wiring/connection, if it does, look to the front switch/wiring/connection. if your under warranty best bet.

My 2005 has the same prob.

It's in the switch itself (located on the driver door). First it was intermittant, now they don't go up. Down works...but no up.

Went to dealer, they ordered new switches, covered under warranty.

Hopefully, the new swithes wont repeat he prob.

Word of advice, don't go messin' with that stuff your self. Any errors on your part, and it could void the warranty repair.

Best of luck.

Same problem with rear window on my 05 Pathfinder. Seems to be a common problem; maybe a future recall? Or just replace under warranty as needed?

I had the same problem with the window switch, took a month for them to get the new one in. Then only took 15 minutes to swap out. Left rear window wouldn't go up, now it's all better.

Watch that other back window boogyman...both of mine went.

I am still waiting for my parts to come in...it's an annoying prob. But every 'new' vehicle has it's querks.

Let's just hope that the replacement parts aren't flawed also.

DEFINATELY keep records, in case of future problems (after the warranty)

Ok, the window issue is covered. Anybody have the same problem with the window washer fluid for the front windshield? I tested mine again, and now only the rear fluid works.

Yep. My dad did. There was a hairline crack in the resevoir. Nissan had to replace it.

Hey guys...what month was your Pathy manufactured in? I haven't had the issue yet...have 3000 miles...mine was manufactured in August, 2005.

Was this a problem with some of the earlier models? I think mine was one of the last group of '05's manufactured.
