New Pathy Owner with Questions

Just got my new '05 Pathy and I love it so far. But I have a few questions.

1. What is the aprox 2" X 3" coil in front on the right side of the radiator? I recognized the tranny cooler. Is this an engine oil cooler? If so, is there any temp control valve that keeps the oil from going through the cooler when the oil is cold?

2. While at the dealer, I went over to the service department and made contact and noticed on the price board a $75 charge to change out the in cabin microfilter. Is the filter that expensive? If not, is it that difficult to change out? Anyone have a step by step procedure to change it out?

3. MY PF did not come with splash guards and the dealer wanted $200. Anyone know where I can get them for a better price?

1: PS or PB cooler, I forget which.

2: $20 by fram I think. Behind the glove box (lower one) Pinch the box together (edge stoppers) and lit it "open wide" then you'll see a box back there that contains the filters.

mynissanparts.com has splash guards for $42.50 a pair and im not sure on the in-cabin. i know it doesn't cost 75 bucks though

My owners manual had instructions in it ! Sometimes these things are right under your nose !

And there are actually two filters, both in the same box.

You shouldn't have to replace this but once a year or so...or about 12-15k miles (depending on usage).

Mostly, if it gets old...you'll notice a lack of air flow.
