Hi there!

I recently aquired a 2002 Pathfinder Chilkoot to replace my trusty but tired '92 model. My new truck does not have fog lights but there is a place to install them. Are the OE fog lights very effective? Nissan sells a kit that includes the lamps, relay and a replacement light/signal arm for the steering column. It's rather pricey at $400.00 Canadian, but it appears to be a plug-and-play install that I could do myself. Has anyone used any of the aftermarket kits?

mine came with fogs stock and in my opinion, no.

they look nice and provide alittle foreground light, but they do not magically light up the road way in heavy fog or snow.

i wouldn't spend that much on OEM fogs. just find a nice PIAA kit or something and install into your bumper--there are alot of little rectangular shaped holes in the front bumper

I think the OE oglights on my 01 PF is great!! it really lights up the space close to the front of the vehicle.. i think it worth it.. any aftermarket foglights wouldnt fit right or look good..

Just bolt on a set of hella round driving lights....they work wonderfully and you can also get 100 w bulbs. Ive seen many deer and hit none since i got mine.....

I do like the integrated look of the factory fog lights and I have a set of PIAA driving lights that will fit nicley in the grill openings too.

One more question though, does anyone know what is included in the fog-light "kit" that Nissan sells? For my truck ('02) the Nissan service notes say that in addition to the kit (which contains a replacement headlight control switch and a relay) I need a DIFFERENT switch and relay! Would I be better off to buy the lamps alone rather than the kit?

Any help would be appreciated!
