auto tranny problem

I have A 92 4 wheel drive pathfinder with auto transmission.It is stuck in high gear and if i shift it into 1st,Its like the brakes is locked up.It is fine in reverse and does not slip any at all.Could someone please tell me what the problem might be?

Take it to a transmission shop, (tow...don't drive). You may want to check transmission fluid level...as a starter...but it's probably a bad tranny. You may need a replacement/rebuild.
