Pathfinder!!!!!

Hey guys! Here is my baby...This is my first car. I bought a 1991 pathfinder because i like the old boxy look to the truck. Now theres some rust... as you can see I rebuilt my driver side front fender. I currently live in Montreal/Quebec. Now ive heard people talk about these automotive bodyshops schools that charge 500$ to get your car looking new again... new paint, no rust etc...
Anyhow I was wondering if any of you recommend this or ways of making my truck nicer. Ive already got the flares for all around the wheels, new grills for the top(under windshield). Theres a new cluthch, transmission, brakes, brake line, gas line, battery, full tune-up, new tires (winter)
Give me your feedback
Thanks
Jason

Hey, well a good place to start would be to get rid of the diamond-plate-naked-lady license plate on the front (jk). I actually just got a '91 myself about a month ago and I love it. I think they have a cool look to them too. I haven't done much to it yet as far as looks are concerned but I will say it actually did look cooler when I put new tires on with the white letters. I've always thought window tint goes a long way to making a vehicle look better, if that's your thing. But you may be more interested in a paint job right now and a replacement bumper from the scrap yard.

Haha ya, well I just redid the whole front fender myself... there was a huge hole! so i had to fiberglass cloth it, putty, sand, prime etc... the whole works! and the bumper im going to wait till after x-mas. Make sure my truck can last the winter before dropping some serious money into it!

Looks like it suffered a little impact in the front bumper. Places to check for rust are: above the windshield, under the side window outside bottom trim strips, under the back seat, in the bottom rear corners of the back door openings, and the frame around the rear wheel openings. For the frame, you should go around underneath with a hammer and screwdriver seeing if the sides of the frame rails are solid. There are starting to be plenty of horror stories about this with older PF's from the rust belt. Fortunately it can be fixed. If you do a search here, there is an occasional post on that problem. You might also want to look up the post called "First Generation Pathfinders - Tips and DIY".
