Pathfinder 2002 LE - heat/ac blower problem

Fan stays on all the time on high speed unless ignition is off. Told that the temperature control mechanism ( some type of resistor with temperature sensing is the problem. $120.00+ OUCH! Anyone have ideas?

If you have auto climate control, which sounds like you do, you need to replace the fan control amplifier behind the glovebox.

THanks. That is probably the part that they are trying to soak me for $120.00. It looks like a relay but with metal fins 11/2 x 2" - 5 of them. I think these sense the tempearture of the air flowing through. Small unit but very costly!
