2001 pathfinder overheating

Hi

few mo. ago i bought my pathfinder, now i have the first issue with it, my path over heats, evrything looks ok, antifreeze level max. , oil is fresh mobil 1 synthetic, fans are ok, evrything seems good, im not towing or anything else, just regular drivin, im thinkin it might be the water pump...
what else it might be, and how i can change the part that causes to over heating...

(im good with tools previously, I've owned audi a4, and did all the maintance)

Could be a thermostat and your 2001 has two of them.

Have you checked to see if the radiator is plugged up? Seem there is a rash of overheating problems with 01 and 02 Pathfinders. watch the lower hose, and give is some throttle. If the hose collapses the raditaor is plugged up. When the radiator is replaced, get a sample of the substance and have it analysed. If it turns out to be Aluminium Oxide the problem maybe the engine is deterating from the inside out. I now Nissan is ignoring this problem, and those of us with this problem may need to get together, share notes, and get a lawyer.

Check or replace the rad cap ... it's a fairly common problem.

Thumbs up

HI,

Just to install a new radiator to resolved this issue.

Nissan have a bad radiator on the Pathfinder 01-02. I prefered a double core on my path (rebuild at 150 km).
