excessive wear on '05 Pathfinder "leather" seats?

OK i've had my new 05 pathfinder for about 4 weeks now. I was cleaning it up and noticed excessive wear on the left-hand side of the driver seat. The edges of the "leather" holey area there seems to be wearing off....this doesnt seem normal for someone who wear dress slacks to work. Anyone else noticing this?

I do not have this problem but you should address it with the dealer. Nissan quality is not where it needs to be. "They don't build them like they use to."

Do you always "slide" into and out of the seat? This may explain the excessive wear on the left side of the driver seat. I have a SE with cloth seat and sometimes I hit the power seat buttons when "sliding" into the seat. Now, I step on the running board and get into it, rather than "sliding".

I think you should talk to your dealer because I think leather is more durable. I also agree than Nissan should work on the quality more coz they are still not up to Toyota or Honda's standard.

you know, after notcing the wear i have become very conscious of the way I get into the seat. . . the only time i 'slide' is when i get out of the truck. I am not a big man...6'0 180 lbs and in my 20s so I dont struggle or slide to get in and out of the truck. thats why i was surprised to see the wear. . . I tried to step on the running board to get in and out but i dont even know how to manage that

I'll take it to the dealer...although i have no clue what they could do about it aside from a seat cover. . . pretty disappointing

The '05 is the first Pathfinder not built in Japan, and is made in the US.
