Best fluids for my '98 QX4? (ATF, differentials, transfer case)

Before winter, I'm going to be changing my fluids (ATF, differentials, transfer case, etc.) Should I stick with whatever the dealer uses or should I put in aftermarket stuff like Mobil1 / Redline / etc?

Which fluids are best? Thanks.

BTW, it's a '98 QX4 w/ 120k.

many will argue over brands but I doubt any can argue against synthetic being better than standard oil. i use mobil 1 synthetic for my engine and pretty much any syntheticfor the other fluids. good luck.

I can't help you with weights of fluids. It's best to stick with the weight recommended in your manual.

But, I like Red Line's gear oils and Mobil 1's stuff is pretty solid.

However I've had the best luck with this private blender in the midwest:

My SpecV's 6-speed is a terribly picky beast. And SpecForm's MTL-P has been the best fluid to date. Even better than Red Line's MT-90/MTL.
