Is this common in your area or jus a FL thing?

I know it can happen anywhere but FL must hold the all time record for the number of cars colliding with buildings.

I've been watching the local news lately. In the last 2-3 days, there were 4 seperate reports of people driving into someones home or business. This including a maxima crashing through someone's front door, a toyota crashing into someone's living room, and a utility pickup truck driving through the main support beam of a dry cleaners.

And this isn't just recently, I hear about this at least once a week over here.

Just a heads up to the other 49 states, Don't come to FL, avoid it at all costs, we have the WORST drivers and we're willing to prove it.

You have a lot of retirees. Old people are generally dangerous drivers or slow drivers.

And...I live in Jersey. We have the worst drivers.

yea It happens in Tampa all the time too. At least once a week someone drives through a building here as well. It's usually some 80 yearold and they say "I don't know what happened I hit the brakes and it kept going" Thats cuz that was the gas pedal.....I see people making left turns from the right lane or vice versa about daily too. Lots of really old people and tourists driving around is definatly not good news...

Listen, I don't care who says what, but MIAMI has the worst drivers of ALL time. Problem is too many old people, too many young jerks in fast cars, and too many immigrants from Southern American countries where they can't afford cars. But yea, I've seen a lot of people in their cars colliding with buildings on the news.

i agree Miami is like driving in another country.. people here forget they are in america now.. once in a while i have to scream "Go Back to Cuba (or other corresponding country, but mostly Cuba)".. I am from Dominican Republic so i am allowed to bash on other latin people..the worst drivers are old people and 15 yr old kids driving srt-4s and any other compact(especially hondas)... i swear old people cant even stay in their own lanes.. and then add on some idiots in fast cars/trucks and a bunch of immigrants that don't even have a green card, much less a license.. and your got yourself a hell of an obstacle coarse...

i'd have to say i'm fairly pleased with the way illinois drivers drive...they dont do anything overtly lifethreatning. just rolling stop sighns, not signalling lane changes, etc...

i can recall only one instance of a car hitting a building in the last year. happened in chicago, this 76 yr old was trying to back out of a parking spot but ended up driving through the store he just left...old people...

Actually...just yesterday here in Dallas some kids drove an SUV through a wall and now a 5yr old is in the hospital with a cracked skull.

About 1-2 months ago a teenager drove her mom's car through a window at a daycare and seriously hurt some kids that were playing inside.

Oh yea, I totally forgot. Another local report here in FL. A woman left her 3,4,5(?) y.o. kid in the car WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING to run into a convenient store. The kid shifted the car into gear and drove through the side of the store. You could see the security camera shake as the entire desk was pushed over a few feet.
