Yeah guys so something pretty sucky happened tonight. I had some company over for a few hours, and they have kids that get scared of dogs (I have four), so usually I keep in an air-conditioned office at home that I have with some food and water and everything's fine. Well tonight I guess my sister or someone left the door between the garage and the office open and the got in there. Long story short one of my dogs got really hurt, the vet said it might have been one of the other dogs that bit him or he could have been hurt by something inside (the former most likely). They have to sew him up and what not, but he'll be fine. Of course now they gave me an estimate and it's going to cost between 500-1400 dollars, they'll know later this morning, but they said 500 was really low balling it and 1400 was very unlikely. Its going to be tough but, as any of you with pets know, you'd do anything for them, they're like family, and to me he's better than some family I've got.
I know this isn't the usual dick-and-fart ghey shit of OT, but I had to let some of this out. I'm just so bummed, and it couldn't have happened at a worse time for me. They have some sort of credit plan, which my sister is going to try to apply for in the morning, so hopefully they accept it just so I can give them something to let me take my dog home. Then I can work some major Overtime at work and pay it off in 3-4 weeks depending on how much it's going to be.
Well, thanks for reading. I'm sure there's a threads with jokes and boobies to cheer you up somewhere around here.

That sucks man. I know what it means to have a pet you'd do anything for. Vet clinic are usually good at working stuff out with their clients. The vets I used to work for understood an owners love for a pet. I hope every things turns out for the best.

I completley understand where you're coming from. My two dogs live with my parents, and they are famliy members, without a doubt. Our local Vet is a really nice guy, and they do understand that pets are family, and they will work out something with the owners, because they know how important and valuable a pet is. I'd go nuts if something ever happened to my dogs. I feel your pain. Everything happens for the best, bro.

Yeah we just called the vet and he's ok, he's just recovering, unfortunetly my sister, me, my other sister, none of qualified for this credit plan thing, so my dad's trying to sell a truck a car he's got, he's letting them go cheap just so we can pay the vet bill. I don't know much its going to be exactly, but I'm just hoping we can get the money to get bring him home today.
I appriciate all the kind thoughts, I feel so bad for the little guy, I'm just happy he's going to be OK.
I just brought him home. He's tired but looks like he'll be ok. The bill came to $1100, he the vet hospital is working with us so that's cool. I'm just happy he's going be alright.
Good for you man... I remember the last time I had to take a dog to the vet, and it wasn't a good experience (we didn't get there in time...) count yourself lucky.
