New B14 Message Board Available!!

Hi, I was a former poster over at b15sentra.net. Unfortunately, they shut down our section. Well another former member had made a website.. http://www.nissan-200sx.org. He just recently opened a message board specifically for B14 Sentras and 200sxs. I'm just trying to get people to go. I think this board is great but is too general and there are a lot of topic categories. I'd appreciate it if you guys would check it out... I miss the boards where I can ask a question about my car and have an answer in less than an hour..

The site again is http://www.nissan-200sx.org

Thanks,
CL Storm

Actually, all the B13/B14/GA16/SR20 Forums/posts from B15sentra.net were moved over here. From what I can gather, our most active vehicle forum is the Sentra forum. Thanks for the invite.

look how many different sections there are on this board. I came here when there were like 100 people. There is just too many people and its too broad. I had almost 1,800 posts on the b15sentra board and honestly have no desire to post here. I would just think that it would be better if it was sectioned off better. I think its a bit tedious to exit 3 forums to go to an audio forum where u want a specific answer for something pertaining to ur car because it will almost be impossible to get one on there. I'd like to see more stuff for my car. odds are more people will post if its directed on to one web site specifically designed for those models. 200 different models on one site is just too much to focus on. it makes it hard to search, hard to get information and hard to ask questions and answer them. I had about 80 posts within the first week this board opened. After that, I found it too difficult to find where my previous posts were so I went back to b15. Again, this board is great and it is a lot better than nothing. But I assume it could be so much better. I'm not trying to take people away from this board. I'm just trying to inform them of another one that we're trying to get started.

i'll join the new forum. besides this forum, sr20deforum is the only other one that i know of who can answer my (cosmetic and chassis) b14 200sx questions. and the new forum will help focus on cosmetic/audio/etc issues easier than it is here. with this forum i have to constantly filter through b13 posts, and i read every post in detail and then after reading 5 or 10 posts i finally realize that everyone was talking about a car that isnt even mine.

Actually not. We didn't move any posts from B15sentra.net. But the B14 forum is the most active one here.

How is that exactly? Unless you specifically go to the B13 section you wouldn't have this problem.

I agree... the only forums that have mixed discussion are the technical and general areas. The reason for that is much of the information discussed in those forums can be applied to more than one model. Most of the B14 specific information can be found in the B14 forum.

I fail to see how the B15sentra.net setup was any better. There everything for the B11 through the B14 was all jumbled together. For those who can remember the original Sentra.net forums, some of the discussion was mixed there also. It's not practical to have a specific forum for every kind of topic.

well i think its annoying to come here and to ask questions on 10 different boards that all pertain to a 200sx. like suspension, chassis, engine, classifieds for stuff i can never use. I just figured i'd tell you about this other board. With out b14 people this board will survive. But like I said before, I'm not trying to take people away. I'm just trying to inform people and tell them there is another one out there for us to use specifically. I'm glad to see a few people have joined. Thanks a lot

Not to ruffle ANY feathers, but one main reason I started the board was...it was FREE at least for the first month. And hell $10 bucks for 3 months, not too bad. I figure I would see how it goes.

I also had a ton of people emailing me to start a b14 board. Many I mention the enormous costs involved. David at B15.net and You guys here know that part, so for $10 you can't go wrong.

BUT!!!!!! If it gets to the same point.....I'm talking about the same thing EVERYONE here has seen that has been here more than 4 months.....the same old questions over and over and over......"how do I adjust my timing?" or "are b13 struts better for my suspension?"......if I get tons of those questions, then it'll be pointless.

I think the problem with ANY board is the constant flow of NEW members who either HAVEN'T learned about the search button or are just too lazy to search. So they ask the same questions WE have heard over and over, but are new to them.

If the forum works, it works. If not, hell I still come to this one first. Just gotta learn to sift through the crap to get to the good stuff. Kinda like the National Enquirer.

So if you want to come over that's fine. If not, that's fine too. Not really hurting my feelings any.

I wanted to start just a small little board. Don't really have time if it gets TOO big. I also don't have the backing like this one. NPM has done a great job here and I really don't have the resources like you guys.
