Cars that even I have never heard of!

I was bored and found a link to this interesting museum of micro cars. I had heard of a few (BMW Isetta, Messerscmidt, Trabant, Vespa, Fiat 500) but there are probably a hundred or so that I had never heard of before. They are all small, almost scooter sized cars with as little as 3 hp!!!! I figured I would post this for anyone in here who enjoys automotive oddities and unusual engineering like I do. Enjoy!

Microcar Museum

Hint: Look at the Trabant- it's body is made of a walnut shell and cotton composite!

nice site. I'd heard of the Trabant while watch the Speed channel on day. They tried to see what the top speed was and couldn't get it about 55mph (if I remember correctly).

Aww, duff... they don't have many japanese cars. I was hoping to see the Japanese delivery 3 wheeler, and a couplea Suzukis... otherwise, this site is pretty sweet.

OMG! A four-wheeled Messerchmitt!!!

Living back in Germany I had seen a few Trabis. They were pretty weird in my opinion. Only east germans would drive them. Cool site! And I know messerschmidt from gta, heh.

KV built its own motors (unusual in itself), which drove the rear wheels by means of rubber rollers pressing on the tires.

Yeah, I have added the Trebant to my list of must own cars. It's just too odd not to want one!
