If these foreign aid numbers are accurate, seems odd how they would be almost swept under the carpet. I would think your government would be wanting to say, "Hey look, we've spent xxx million trying to help you out."
Mind you, from what I know it's usually that money and involvment which is why they hate you in the first place.
