Mustangs

Is it more or are they just EVERYWHERE about now since the Camaro is gone? I just had to post this because i was behind a red convertable v6 next to a another v6 and in front of a GT all late model ones. Me and my Electronics teacher had a discusion on how he would ranther buy a Camaro than a Mustang because thier is soo many out, o yea he likes fords. P.S. 4 of my friends have Mustangs at my school. No real reason for this post but the fact that i dont really like fords Dont hate em, but dont like em, im a Chevy man at heart what do u ppl think?

I think that you should edit your post before Adam (better knows as "The Scary Moderator") sees this! I have no comment.

GT dont bother me as much its just the V6's that kill me, but 4.6 seems kinda small to me when compared to monster 5.7 LS1

My buddy has a '95 TransAm with the 5.7 LS1 in it. Talk about torque!

The probelm with the Camaro is that the 4th gen cars were just such awful cars to work on! I mean, c mon- 3/4 of the engine is UNDER the dash! That's why even domsetic people like me didn't care for em. We see them as awesome parts cars to use when building an older GM product, like the 78-87 G body. No one in their right mind likes to work on them, and that alienated their target market. Mustang's on the other hand, were the easiest cars in the world to work on, when equipped with the 5.0 engine. That's why they are so popular! I mean, it's like engine swaps were what the engineers had foremost in their minds when they designed them.I can swap out the engine in one in 3 hours if putting it together stock.Try that with any other car. While it may sound like I own one of these cars, I actually won't because of their popularity. I own an AMC Spirit with a AMC 360 swap in it that I did years ago instead because I like to dance to the beat of a different drummer.

5.7 ain't that much bigger than 4.6 when you consider that the F bodies weigh 600 pounds more than current mustangs. They are a little quicker, but not as much as what the 65 horse difference (at the end of the F-body run; 325 vs 260) would suggest.

I get pissed that there are so many V6 stangs out too. Kinda sad to think that the majority of what was a classic pony car are slower than my unmodded 93 1.6L Sentra. Kinda turns a GT into a sleeper when most people, well myself anyways, see a mustang and assume it's an auto V6 driven by a 16 year old girl...

Oh well, I might get a Stang GT when I get out of school in 7 months. When I do I'll have to open up the exhaust a bit to make it easier for people to differentiate me from jailbate...

alright..i REALLY don't like mustangs. however, i don't hate them either. There ARE way too many of them on the road around here as well and it's starting to get aggravating. i started counting one day and i counted 8 mustangs w/ in a quarter mile of road. that's a little much don't you think? oh and they were all late 80's and 2000's models. BLAH!

There is no big whoop in owning a Mustang like there was in 69. If you tell someone you just bought a mustang chances are they have one or have owned one now-a-days
