Don't Buy Gas Tomorow.

Has anyone heard about the thing where we're not supposed to buy gas on May 19, 2004? I was listening to the local radio station this morning and they said that no-one should buy gas all day tomorow. (as a boycott) because the oil industry (OPEC) or the federal government will lose as much as $4.3 Billion. SO...NO ONE BUY GAS TOMOROW IF YOU CAN POSSIBLY HELP IT~! There seriously needs to be something that stops these gas prices from rising so HELP! (if you need gas, get it today. if you don't need gas, wait til Thursday. or don't drive at all. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION really isn't that bad! BOYCOTT! That is all!

sorry..just saw the thread "Don't buy gas on the 19th..save the 240 Engines from 87 Octane" LOL woopsee!

I'm curious how they will lose money if we'll still be driving, we'll still need gas the next day... sounds like a very loose idea.

they won't lose any money. people will buy their gas the day before and after that day thus boosting their revenue on those days.

and like adam said, there's two gas-outs a year, they don't work.

Hey, take it easy...uncnissan2004 is a girl and a very nice one at that. No need to go flamin' people like your buddy TuFoteeSX/HondaHater/etc. She made a mistake and admitted it. I think you owe her an apology..

If nobody buys gas they will have a SURPLUS of it, so when they go to sell gas to the stations they will not need it leaving no room for all the gas so they'll lower prices so they can sell the gas and get back on track....in theory

If I understand you correctly, I think you might have a point.

What would the gas stations do when the huge tankers roll up to fill the tanks but they are all full? Maybe this boycott could work after all..

For like a day or so. A longer boycott would be needed to make prices actually drop semi-permanantly.
