my friends and I have finally put together a bit of a teaser for a movie we are working on. This is a parody film, focusing on some young lads with their slow cars. In this teaser, the "Star car", a 1990 VW Corrado pulls out of a house, and attempts to peel out.... but stalls on the first attempt. When watching, just imaging lots of engine revving. Because this does not have sound effects added, but they shall be later... soon.. I hope.
This is just to whet your appetite and so I (we) can get feedback.
Note: The movie was saved in the Quicktime .mov format.

Let me know what you think. Also, I wrote that web page in 20 seconds in notepad... just needed something...
Or just right click this and "save target as" : Movie teaser
No porno yet. Although we do have at least 5 ladies lined up for parts... I've seen a few of them. They are of a decently high caliber. Maybe just some T&A.
But like it says... coming 2007. We're just getting started here.
Seriously, though. We probably will enter this into film festivals if we spend enough time on it this summer when the weather's nice.

Whats wrong with a Corrado? that 16V engine has alot of potential. Throw a VR6 in there and that can be a nice car.

The Corrado never had the 16V in the US. 16V versions were available in Europe. In North America, the Corrado came with the G60 (supercharged 8V 1.8l with 160 HP, IIRC) from '90 to '92, and in '93 they got the mighty VR6, the 2.8l SOHC beast.
The Corrado was an absolutely phenominal car. Not the most reliable, but they handled great and ran like a bat out of hell.
Yes,the Corrado is the best [read: Fastest] out of the bunch of cars we have lined up.
My friend's is the G60, but she still has good power and runs decent considering the mileage.
I would have consider making this film focus more on my own vehicle, but since I will be the one behind the scenes putting the film together... I doubt I'll play a huge role.
Besides, we just have plot ideas for now, no real script.
Working on the audio right now. Actually, I have a version with the audio of the car stalling.. it's just about 10megs bigger. I'll post the "finished" teaser when it's done.
... *goes to hook up digital audio drive to TV to record cars effects from video games*
hey my best friend dirves a 1993 Corrado SLC VR6 and its fast as hell. he beats me very time, no contest. he has an auto techniks exhaust with a borla muffler, sounds awesome. another friend has a 1992 VR6 as well with a Neuspeed p-flow. incredibly fast great looking cars
the corrado VR6 is a DOHC 2.8L 12V. 176 hp 180 lb ft.
the G60 is 8V SOHC 1.8L 8V. 150 hp 150 hp lb ft.
both awesome cars, incredibly fast. my friend just saw the vid ( corrado driver) and he was pissed b/c it made fun of corrado's lol. <- not really pissed but he was uhh... pissed
I took the sounds from Need for Speed Underground.
When we do the movie, we'll get stuff together and record the cars as we go. None of this mixing in afterwards... and we'll get more cameras, too. That scene was done with one camera.

I agree, I like the car a lot, too. And so does the owner, he's crazy about it. But this film won't bash the cars so much.. it's just the guys who will be the rejects, thinking they're all hot shit. Compared to the types of cars in the Fast and the Furious. Out of all the cars we have (93 Accord, 87 Pulsar, 92 Prelude, and the Corrado), The VW is the best car hands down.
And we're using a couple autos, too. "Racing" with my three speed. Oh yeah!
Something I should note is we're not planning on breaking any laws. Any major road filming will be done in nothing but the best conditions with the drivers of any cars focusing only on driving, not filming/acting. We'll speed up the video when editing if we want to simulate fast speeds [above the speed limits]
