Now theys another import modding show....it sucks too.
I was flipping through the channels and stopped on Speed and there is a show now about modding imports. I think its called Tuner Transformation. From what I could make of it, they take someones car and "modify" it..and i use that term very loosly.
They had a 04 RX-8. Um, about 3 or 4 guys, 2 of which really acted like they knew something and the other 2 looked like they just jerked off the street and put them on a show. These two guys argued back and forth about cosmetics. One guy said body kits looks stupid and that vinyl was the way to go for "class". The other guy, who looked like a wwe reject said that body kits was the way to go and that vinyl looked stupid. Now the guy that wanted the body kit started making a good point....then they got to the brakes. The one guy said "Yea, these are oem lines, rubber, well replace these with steel braided" the body kit guy said this...."What will that do?"...I would have kicked his ass out the garage right then and there, but it gets worse. He goes on to bitch about what color to paint the calipers and then later he bitched about not being able to put his 2-10"s in the trunk cuz the bottle took up too much space.
Ill tell you about this supposed "transformation"
They put 19"s on it and a wet No2 system and the "subtle classy" vinyl...thats it...and they made it out to be some big deal. The whole crew was buggin out over purging the Nitrous. Not a good way to start a new show.
Then they got another show after that called Sports Car Revolution which is pretty good, they show you alot of the SCCA stuff and what you can do to get involved in that...that I like...alot.

TV is always tripping over itself trying to catch the next wave and there's always some bozo who can't get a real job standing around when someone needs an expert, and they end up with crap like that.

I watched both of those shows, and have to agree that Tuner transformation was pretty cheesy. I had higher expectations. I can't believe they Dyno'ed that RX8 stock at 178 HP and 130 TQ WTF? that is pretty low. And Sports Car revolution was pretty cool. You must watch tonight there is going to be some hot new shows on. I have to give props to Speed channel they have a whole new line up of Original Programming, I am going to tune in, no pun intended.

Man, I kinda felt sorry for the guy.
