my god its cold!

quick question. at what temp. does k&n filter oil freeze? its been really cold around here lately, like 2 degrees out side. when i went to start my car it acts like its not getting enough air. my car sounded so bad when it did start i was worried that as cold as it is, that i would snap a rod! i think tonight im going to make my cai into a wai just to be on the safe side.

so whats the temp where you are at?

The rally golf has always had an intake and has had no problems to my knowledge.

To the original post I have a K&N on my camaro and the one year I used it in the winter I had no problem with it freezing. Maybe you should remove it clean it and then oil it and leave it like that for a night. Not sure why it would be acting up

maybe i broke a brittle vaccum hose or somthing then, or maybe its just so cold, i dont know but the car sounds like its gasping for air for the first 3 - 5 min. after start up.

54 degrees right now. Almost purrrfect. 60-65 is better. It gets to be in the mid to high 30s at night. So damn cold.

Man, I wish I saw some cold weather here sometime, for these past few weeks, weve had our doors and windows open and today we turned the AC on cuz it was gettin hot. Its probably chilly at most. I think the average is about 65 but its been as high as 85 at one time. Yesterday I was paintballing in the woods with only a pair of pants and 2 shirts and I was burning up. And Christmas day, I was walking around in a short sleeved shirt. It only got cold at night and it wasnt even that noticeable. Ive never had a warm winter before, its throwing my entire winter feeling off. I dont like it.
