What to do?

Okay, I have a dillema.I will shortly be selling my unloved B14 Sentra GXE auto-tragic and have a few choices as to what to do with the money. I have a 85 Olds Cutlass that I can finish the frame-off restificatation. It has a mild 355 Chevy, Th2004R trans with shift kit,, Eiback Pro Kit springs, poly bushings for everything, 3.73 posi rear, new 2002 Firebird NAvy Blue metallic base/clear urethane paint job, dark blue velour interior(factory mint cond.), and every concievable option.I need to buy the wheels, tires, windshield, back glass, weatherstripping, carpet, headliner, and Global West Negative roll kit with B car 12 in front brakes to complete it.I could do it with the money I expect from my B14($3000-3500).However, it will not be a practical pizza delivery car, but I still have my beloved 1998 Frontier which is great for delivery. My other option is to build my proposed B16A1 VTEC powered Austin Mini. 1300 lbs, 175hp(With I/H/E) and great gas mileage, not to mention fun to drive and cut people off with.I figure this will run $5,000 to build, the rest of the money coming from my tax return.I could also save the money for a rainy day or go into buisness doing wreck rebuilding with a friend of mine to make some side money.

My heart says Mini, but the practical side says finish the project you are working on first, then move on to the Mini.

I am bad for having a lot of projects in various stages of build, but none actually finished.

You already have a great start on a pro-touring car with the Cutlass, so get some really good seats that go with the interior(B13 Sentra SE-R's come to mind), Get some Koni's, huge swaybars, gigantic brakes, worked over TH350(stiff shift kit, reworked servos, kevlar clutches and bands, so it shifts firm and fast), and see if there is anyway to stiffen and quicken the ratio of the power steering. You already have good springs, so just go all out on handling(because its never been done on a mid 80's Olds Cutlass before, and the Mini thing has been done before, there is a guy in England who builds them as a buesness) Good luck, and go scare the crap out of the 5.0 Mustang guys!

Actually, I alrerady have a WS6 Steering box(2.25 truns lock to lock), 1.3 in front and .75 in rear sway bars.It is et up more as a Pro Touring car than anything else.I've owned it for 11 years(2nd longest of any car I own, longest is 15 yrs), and will probably never sell it cause it means too much to me.I dunno. I kinda want to try a sport compact, but want something out of the ordinary, something not acievable without serious fabrication. Plus , I have always wanted a Mini.I want a new toy, dammit, but yeah, it's not the most practical thing to do...

I love G bodies! Finish off that Cutlass! I've always dreamt about shoehorning a 502 into a G body Monte SS and using it to scare the shit out of ricers at their little gatherings you see in parking lots every so often. How sick would a 502 Monte sound? I can just see them all running to their cars before Godzilla sucked them into its intake...

There you go! Your all set with the steering box. But do whatever you want to. Is the Honda motor the only one that is compatible to the Mini, because I know that the mid 80's Toyota FX16 Corolla uses the 4AGE engine that's in the MR2, and I think that has a 8 grand redline, and its not a Honda. I would also think there would be a plentiful and cheap supply of them. How about this. Buy a old Ford Festiva, and a parts car Taurus SHO. Tear off the lower back quadrent of the Festiva, and weld up a rollcage/structural support, and weld the SHO engine/transmission subframe to the back of the Festiva, and take the fuel tank and put it where the engine used to be in the front. Granted, this is a very rough plan to go by, but if the details were worked out, I wouldn't think it would be that hard. By the way, a guy did this in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine for under 2004$. No joke, and it runs and drives perfectly on the street, and he uses it as a daily driver. I think the magazine issues are August 2003 and October 2003. They both have good articles on it. Or you could just visit their website and order a backissue.

Bills are all paid, posted that cause it seemed like a fun poll question.(BTW, if it were serious, I pick water)

Today I am leaning towards the Olds, but I dunno what I will really do.It all depends on how hard it is to register and title the damn thing!
