Z scam on autotrader.com

well i found this nice deal to good to be true
http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...or=&cardist=75

since this car suposedly is about 70 miles from my house i emailed the guy and ran a carfax on it
here are my results
this is his reply:
"Hello,

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my car. I have to tell
you that I have other serious offers that I have to consider and I will make
a decision regarding this sale function of time of payment and price.

I am the first owner of the car; I bought it directly from an
authorized dealer. The car is as new, with no scratches and it was never
involved in an accident. The paint looks just as new, the car was always
garaged. I sell the car because I want to buy the next week a new car. As
options the car has all premium packages, premium sound, navigation system,
bixenon headlights etc.

I am located in Munich, Germany. I bought the car with the
intention to bring it back with me in the US, but I will stay a longer time
here and it is time to make a change for my car.

I ordered the car set up especially for the US market. The car is
US street legal, does not need any conversion and it meets all DOT and EPA
regulations. It has a miles odometer, etc. This is the reason that I want to
sell the car in USA because German people does not like it prepared this
way. The other offers that I have are also from the US. The warranty is
valid in USA and it is extended international warranty for 5 years, from
bumper to bumper.

Since this is a serious deal in which I sell a valuable car I want
to use an escrow company to finish this deal. The procedure is: we agree on
details of the deal (price, time of shipping), you make the payment to the
escrow company, escrow notifies me and I will ship the car. All you have to
do from now on is to take the car and register it the same day and notify
escrow to release the funds to me. You can make the payment to escrow co 30%
in advance and come to my location to see the car and take it back with you
in the States or you can make the full payment to escrow in which case I
will ship the car via Lufthansa airplane cargo insured.

The shipping is around $2600 and I will pay for it. When you
receive the car you do not have to pay any import taxes. The 30% amount or
the full payment are fully refundable if for any reason you do not accept
the car or if the car has scratches, hidden defects, or it is not as
advertised. I will pay for the shipping back to my location if you reject
the car.

Thank you and I hope that you will have the pleasure to drive this
car.

Regards,

"

i mean how cheese can u get, he is willin to pay the shipping back to Europe if i dotn like the car lol

here is the carfax report

Right before he tells the buyer his location he starts to talk like a foreigner with bad grammer:

"I sell the car because I want to buy the next week a new car. As
options the car has all premium packages, premium sound, navigation system,
bixenon headlights etc."

Then he goes back to normal after telling where he is:

I am located in Munich, Germany. I bought the car with the
intention to bring it back with me in the US, but I will stay a longer time
here and it is time to make a change for my car.

Why don't you e-mail him that carfax report?

Yeah that is a scam (or at least it sounds like it), I have seen the exact same ad worded exactly the same, for a 1998 BMW M3 convertable. (I think i contradicted myself )

I ran into the same type of BS when I was selling my truck last spring. Someone with real choppy english wanted to do something to the effect of giving me an 8,000 dollar check through his "client" for a 3,000 dollar truck, and then I would give him the difference. His "client" would handle the transactions for him. Gee, I wonder if his check would have bounced... The scary part is that some people fall for this shit...
